CompTIA’s Cloud Plus
, or Cloud+, provides the skills needed to deploy and automate secure cloud environments that support the high availability required by business systems and data, and represents the latest advancements in cloud computing, focusing on critical areas such as advanced cloud solutions, security, automation, and cloud management.
IT professionals certified in Cloud+ can better realize the return-on-investment of cloud infrastructure services by employing their increased diversity of knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform effectively on the job.
The skills learned in Cloud+ echo the voice of the industry. It is the only vendor-neutral, performance-based IT certification that views cloud-based infrastructure services in the context of broader IT systems operations. Cloud computing does not happen in a vacuum with an assigned “cloud administrator.” It’s not an end unto itself but, rather, an increasingly important piece of an organization’s IT system.
CompTIA Cloud+ is a certification that validates the essential skills necessary to implement, maintain, optimize and troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure services and aligns with global IT standards and best practices and demonstrates that professionals working in cloud environments have the hands-on and technical skills required to effectively implement, maintain, optimize and, troubleshoot cloud solutions.

Objectives
After taking this training, the student should be able to:
- Understand cloud architecture and design concepts.
- Implement and maintain a secure cloud environment.
- Successfully provision and configure cloud resources.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage operations throughout the cloud environment life cycle using
observability, scaling, and automation.
- Understand fundamental DevOps concepts related to deployment and integration.
- Troubleshoot common issues related to cloud management.
Prerequisite Knowledge Advisory
Although there are no formal prerequisites, before taking this class you should have:
- 2-3 years’ experience in IT networking or systems administration.
- CompTIA Network+ and Server+ or equivalent knowledge.
- Familiarity with any major hypervisor technology for server virtualization.
- Knowledge of cloud service models.
- Knowledge of IT service management.
- Hands-on experience with at least one public or private cloud IaaS platform.
